April 23, 2015: Abraxane Round #6

Round 6 of Abraxane done. Only 6 more rounds of Abraxane to go. Another halfway point to celebrate!

Abraxane is administered in cycles – weekly for three weeks and then off a week. Round 3 was followed by a near comatose me for a week. We blamed a drug I had just started taking. When I got off it, I felt much better. Round 6 isn’t feeling so great either. Lots of fatigue, I feel like I’m running a fever but I’m not, and the return of two dreaded side effects: nausea & restless leg syndrome. Week 3 of each cycle is the reason why there’s no chemo on Week 4.

Psalm 34:17-20 – When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
