May 21, 1995: 3rd Round of a Cycle

I used to look forward to the 3rd round of chemo in a cycle because it meant I was getting a week off from chemo. What I didn’t know was “a week off from chemo” meant a week of being sick. Today, I’m struggling to force myself into going. This is not the time of year for a teacher to be sick. There are way too many things to be marked off a packet of at least 10 pages to complete a school year. It’s busy and crazy. Being weak and feeling icky just doesn’t fit into this schedule. My precious prayer warriors who’ve prayed me through so many rounds of chemo, please send up some special prayers of strength, health & peace. And I have an unspoken prayer request weighing heavily on my heart. God has a plan, and it is good.
