July 2018 – Healthy is a Good Word

Today was check-up day. My blood markers are great! My blood work is the best it has been in 7 years! Yes, SEVEN YEARS! How awesome is that?!?! My doctor asked me what I had done to increase my Vit. D level so much, and I told her I went to the beach. She said I should have my husband take me every month. I’m in!

I also started the treatment to “regrow” my bones. This time the PA was sweet enough to warn me that I would have to go to the infusion lab to get it. That’s the nice way to prepare a previous chemo patient to go to the infusion lab. I had my grandson with me though and you can’t go back into the lab if you’re under the age of 14, so I got a pass. They warmed up my shot and brought it to the shot room. She put the shot in my stomach and sent me on my way. Hopefully, I won’t have any issues.

“Healthy” is a good word.

Remission – year #3!
